Cammeray, Sydney

Cammeray is a residential waterfront suburb on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, situated between Crows Nest, Neutral Bay, Northbridge and Naremburn. Cammeray had around 6,784 residents in 2011 and is mostly a residential and parkland area.

Cammeray's most recognisable feature is the Long Gully Bridge over Tunks Park, which links Cammeray to Northbridge and other northern suburbs. Tunks Park is a vital green space for Cammeray, having several sports fields, walking tracks, a skate park and a boat ramp into Middle Harbour. It also connects Cammeray to Naremburn and Northbridge for foot traffic.

Cammeray has excellent access to both the North Shore business centres of St Leonards and Chatswood, as well as being only 10 minutes from Sydney CBD. It is located on several bus routes and has quick access to the train stations at North Sydney and St Leonards.

Cammeray has several schools both public and private, and is close to the Crows Nest campus of Northern Sydney TAFE. It has a significant Japanese population, and is therefore the location of the Sydney Japanese Evangelical Church.
