Naremburn, Sydney

Naremburn is one of the smaller suburbs in Sydney’s leafy Lower North Shore with a population of around 5,500 people according to the census of 2011. It is surrounded by Northbridge, St Leonards, Cammeray, Crows Nest and Willoughby.

Naremburn is on the Warringah Freeway to the city so has great bus services but it is also in close proximity to St Leonards Station. Naremburn is also only ten minutes from Chatswood. Naremburn was settled by Europeans in the early 1800s, but the origin of its name is uncertain. Naremburn was originally a primarily light industrial district; home to industries such as dairies and plasterworks, but during the time of 20^th century gentrification it changed to become mostly residential.
